We are lucky enough in this area, to have the brilliant chance to be able to shoot air rifles at a fantastic set-up a stones throw from the shop. Old Down Pursuits, just off the A419 next to Countrywide Stores, offer a fantastically run HFT layout as well as a range of other activities from clay shooting to 4×4 driving. A great day out and one we have enjoyed on many an occasion!

HFT or Hunter Field Target has its roots within Field Target shooting, but offers a mix of targets representing a realistic air rifle hunting scenario. Full rules can be found at the www.ukahft.co.uk website. On general ‘open’ shoots however, you can choose to shoot ‘freestyle’ although multi-shot guns must be limited to single shots only.
